ANNUAL TOWN MEETING
TUESDAY, MARCH 7, 2023
The legal voters of the Town of Woodbury, Vermont are hereby warned and notified to meet at the Woodbury Elementary School on Tuesday, March 7, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. to take action on the following Articles:
Article 1: .. Who shall be elected moderator to govern the Town meetings for the ensuing year?
Article 2: What action will the voters take in regard to the printed report of the Town Officials for the year ending December 31, 2022?
Article 3: Who shall be elected to fill the following positions as Town Officers?

Article 4:.. Shall the Town have its taxes paid to the Town Treasurer, as tax receiver, 60 days after tax bills are mailed (estimated due date to be Oct. 26, 2023)? Taxes would then become delinquent and be turned over to the Collector of Delinquent Taxes for collection with a penalty that increases by ½ % per month of delinquency to a maximum of 6% for one full year or more of delinquency, and interest of 6% per year or ½% per month.
Article 5: Shall the voters appropriate $17,850.00 to the Woodbury Volunteer Fire Department to be added to the truck replacement fund, paid July 01, 2023?
Article 6: Shall the voters appropriate $114,576.44 to fund the operations of the Woodbury Volunteer Fire Department? The Capital Replacement Fund paid in full by January 01, 2024, in the amount of $31,000.00, and the Operating Expenses of $83,576.44, paid in quarterly installments ($20,894.11) starting July 01, 2023.
Article 7: Shall the voters appropriate up to $85,000.00 to the Woodbury Volunteer Fire Department for the purpose of financing the cost for construction of a new Fire and Emergency Operations center at a total cost of $1,300,000.00 due Jan 1, 2024?
Article 8: Shall the voters appropriate $1,262 to the Woodbury/ Calais Food Shelf?
Article 9: Shall the voters appropriate $750 to Aid to Women, Men, and Children in Abuse and Rape Emergencies (A.W.A.R.E.)?
Article 10: Shall the voters appropriate $250 to the American Red Cross of NH/VT?
Article 11: Shall the voters appropriate $600 to Central Vermont Adult Basic Education?
Article 12: Shall the voters appropriate $750 to the Central Vermont Council on Aging?
Article 13: Shall the voters appropriate $300 to the Central Vermont Economic Development Corporation?
Article 14: Shall the voters appropriate $2,000 to Central Vermont Home Health & Hospice Inc.?
Article 15: Shall the voters appropriate $650 to CIRCLE (Battered Women’s Services)?
Article 16: Shall the voters appropriate $100 to the Family Center of Washington County?
Article 17: Shall the voters appropriate $484 to Green Mountain Transit?
Article 18: Shall the voters appropriate $50 to Green Up Vermont?
Article 19: Shall the voters appropriate $750 to Hardwick Community Television?
Article 20: Shall the voters appropriate $100 to People’s Heath & Wellness Clinic?
Article 21: Shall the voters appropriate $250 to Our House of Central Vermont?
Article 22: Shall the voters appropriate $500 to Rural Community Transportation?
Article 23: Shall the voters appropriate $200 to the Sexual Assault Crisis Team?
Article 24: Shall the voters appropriate $1,500 to the Twin Valley Senior Center?
Article 25: Shall the voters appropriate $100 to the VT Rural Fire Protection Task Force for the Dry Hydrant Program?
Article 26: Shall the voters appropriate $210 to Vermont Center for Independent Living?
Article 27: Shall the voters appropriate $1,000 to Washington County Mental Health Services?
Article 28: Shall the voters appropriate $500 to the Washington County Youth Service Bureau?
Article 29: Shall the voters appropriate $200 to the Salvation Farms?
Article 30: What amount shall be budgeted to meet the expenses and liabilities of the Town for general purposes for the period from July 1, 2023 to June 30, 2024 and shall the Select Board be authorized to set a tax rate sufficient to provide the same?
Article 31: What amount shall be budgeted to meet the expenses and liabilities of the Town for highway purposes for the period from July 1, 2023 to June 30, 2024 and shall the Select Board be authorized to set a tax rate sufficient to provide the same?
Article 32: Shall the voters of the Town be empowered to approve any amendments, additions or revisions to the Woodbury Zoning Bylaw, by Australian Ballot at a regular or special Town Meeting? (Otherwise, the Select Board has the authority to adopt any such changes.) See 24 VSA Chapter 117,4442(c)(2)
Article 33: Shall Woodbury hold its future annual Town Meetings on the Saturday preceding the first Tuesday in March?
Article 34: To transact any other business that may legally come before the meeting.
Article 35: To adjourn the meeting.
