Update 7/13/2023 at 10:30 AM
Route 14 south of the village is open but very rough. There is a very large crew working to repair Route 14 north. Be aware there will be many large trucks on 14.
Town roads are open, many only one lane. Road crews are working on repairs so expect closures and delays.
The post office is closed until further notice due to flooding in the basement. According to the post master mail would be available at the Hardwick post office. The fire department is working to remove the water. No expected reopen date at this time.
The fire station has been badly damaged but crews worked very hard yesterday clearing the mud out and removing wet things. Trucks are back in the bays for now.
Hardwick Ambulance will cover Woodbury for the parts of town they can reach. East Montpelier ambulance will cover the remainder of the town. The fire department will provide first response to the parts of town we can reach in Woodbury and Calais. Call 911 for any fire or medical emergencies.
District 6 EMS came to town last night and provide 8 fully stocked EMS bags to replace our destroyed equipment. Thank you.
I would like to thank the volunteer firefighters who have worked so many hours over the past few days to respond to many emergency calls and get our emergency services back in order. We have much more to do in the coming days; your service has helped many. Thank you.
